"Most of the antibacterial ingredients in mouthwashes are not selective, in other words, they do not target specific bacterial organs, but these substances can act on different types of bacteria," Kududi said, quoting from Boldsky.

Researchers conducted a study on 1,206 people overweight aged between 40 and 65. As for people with these categories are classified as the risk of diabetes.

During the study period, as many as 17 percents of them had diabetes. The figure grew to 20 percent when they started using mouthwash once a day, and then to 30 percent after morning and evening use. The study shows the true risk of diabetes caused by the use of mouthwash.
